DynUpdater installs fine on Ubuntu zesty 17.04 . My site's IP is updated correctly, but there is no indicator in the system tray. Hence no nice way to find program status. (Launching from Unity search shows nothing on screen, launch tray icon dies after 20-30 seconds. Nothing in /var/syslog. ps axf | grep dyn shows dyn_updater runinng as daemon.)
Is this a bug, or is there more configuration I need to do?

My UserName/Pwd no longer work
I have a Pro account with two domains. After using one for several years, and another domain two days ago, my Username/Pwd no longer works for the DYN updaters in each PC.
In addition to that, I see in the logs -

I have no connectivity problems. If I manually click "Refresh IP" in the DYN Windows updater, an IP address shows fine on the "Dyn Updater Preferences" page.
These two Windows 7 PCs are 1200 miles apart, different internet providers, etc. - but no longer does my Username/Pwd work on both.
However my Username/Pwd works fine when logging into the dyn.com website. I assume that I user the same User/Pwd for both the website in the Dyn Windows Updater, right?
Am I locked out? I don't see any notice of that on my Dyn account page.

Im using my "user" and try to use my "dyn password", my "long Updater Client Key" and my "short Updater Client Key", allways appear the same message.
When i try to manually go to https://members.dyndns.org/ appear "404"

For some reazon (i really dont know) when i was writting the url appear "https://members.dyndns.org/nic/update" as a recommendation, i press enter and a "log in pop up" appear. i log, then appear "notfqdn". I dont know if this are important but caught my attention.
Can someone help me?

Dyn Updater will not login. error connecting members.dyndns.org
After reinstalling the updater, I can't add my account. I rechecked the username and password and these are good. The error I receive is "Error connecting to members.dyndns.org. Please verify your internet connection and try again."
I checked the internet connection and it is good and when I ping "members.dyndns.org" I get a reply.

I am currently living in another Town and I would like to update the IP that arrives to the router at my beach house in order I can use my security IP cameras. How can I achieve this?

Tengo una cuenta de Dyndns para 30 host, el problema es que con algunos no funciona el cliente Dyn Updater, marca error de usuario o contraseña, si estamos usando los correctos. Unos host están funcionando correctamente y otros no. Qué puedo hacer para corregirlo ?

Why does my DYN Host Address Change when My Internet Service Provider has not changed it?
Almost daily the IP Address for my host changes. This address is not the public IP Address that has been provided to me by my Internet Provider.
When I get complaints from field users who cannot connect to our VPN I check the address via the DynDNS portal and see that the Host Address has changed. When I use my browser and open the page http://ip4.me it shows me the public ip address as assigned by my internet provider. When I change my Host address on DynDNS to this, my users are able to connect to the VPN.
How can I determine what and where my DynDNS Host address is being changed. Thanks for your help.

Why does DynUpdater need to override my Ethernet Adapter settings?
I recently had a problem with my VPN software not working properly and I traced the cause to Windows Dynupdater overriding my default Ethernet adapter DNS server address from "Obtain Automatically" to a fixed IP address located in Manchester NH, coincidentally where dyndns is located.
I solved the problem by uninstalling Dynupdater but it still begs the question - why does it do that?
Further - can I turn it off so that dynupdater and my VPN can co-exist in the same computer?

Cannot install dyn updater
Trying to install latest Dyn updater (Version 5.4.2), on a Windows 10 machine, but get the error message "The older version of Dyn Updater cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group."
I have removed all visible previous instances of Dyn Updater from my computer, and I have also removed - to the best of my knowledge - all relevant entries in the registry. But still no success.

Question to the real Experts: Update IP Address via another Gateway
I have a normal network with a DSL-Router. To get access to a camera server from outside I want to integrate an additional LTE-Router (our DSL upload is too slow) . This LTE-Router can only do VPN (all "not-PPTP or not-IPSec Pakets" are aborted). Unfortunately this router has a dynamic public IP. The built in DynDNS-Clinet is therefore not able to send the update to the DynDNS-Service Host because there is no Internet-connection (only VPN over external clients).
**My Question:**
**Is there a way to install a DynDNS-Clinet in my network which inquires the actual IP address of the LTE Router and the sending it via the other DSL Router to the DynDNS Host ??**

Cannot install dyndnsUpdater on win 7 32 bit but can on win 7 64 bit
My computer has 5 2TB HDD's. 3 of then have operating systems on them, 1 has XP Pro, 1 has Windows 7 32 bit and 1 has Windows 7 64 bit. My main system is Windows 7 32 bit. At start up I have these 3 options to boot to. I already have the DynUpdater on the XP Pro. The updater will install on the windows 7 64 bit but will not install on the Windows 7 32 bit. I get this message (See attachment) First I typed run and found the DynUpdater.msi and tried to install it. Got the message in the attachment. I them tried this
Right-click the downloaded DynUpdater.msi file and select "Copy." Go back to the Windows Explorer main window and create a folder on the C: drive named "MyMSI." Open the folder and paste the MSI file into it by right-clicking and selecting "Paste."
Click the Windows Start icon in the lower left corner of the desktop and select "All Programs." Choose "Accessories" and right-click on the "Command Prompt" icon. Choose "Run as Administrator" to open the DOS command prompt with administrator rights.
Type "C:\Windows\System32\msiexec.exe -i C:\MyMSI\DynUpdater.msi" into the command prompt.
Press enter. I got the same message as the attachment. Any help would be appreciated. I asked this from DYN support as I am a VIP customer but did not get a reply.

When DynDNS host is updated?
Hi,
I have a DynDNS Host, which is updated correctly since 4 years,( i configured my router ) but i would like to know if Updates are done regularly ? If yes , how many hours or days , Have i to wait for the next Update? Because my last Update in since 2 days .

Mac OS X 10.12.4 - Dyn Updater disappeared from menubar after updating
After just updating to Mac OS X 10.12.4 and after the reboot the Dyn Updater icon disappeared from the menu bar. It's still running according to the Activity Monitor & I am able to access my DNS remotely, but I can't check the status nor access any preferences since the icon is no longer in my menubar. I have uninstalled & reinstalled and rebooted several times too. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Three domains - 2 on one ip and one on another.
I have 2 domains on one ip and one on another.
Two machines running on two different locations - both running dynupdater using the same account.
On the 2 domain machine I have checked the two domains in the configuration but not the third that shows up on my account, and vice versa on the one-domain machine.
Still the two machine dynupdater gets to override the third (and "single") host and gives it the ip of the two others.
What am I doing wrong?
